12.2   Create/Edit Default Service Assignments

You can set up the default service tasks for your organizations. These services run in the background to process certain tasks.

Important Notes:

·      The TrialMaster default service is created during the installation and cannot be modified or deleted.

·      Do not enable the AutoTranslation service in environments where validated translations are required.

·      If a service is deleted, any trials using this service will use the default service instead.

·      Once a service is created, the name of the service can no longer be changed.

·      The default services need to be re-assigned after an upgrade.

To create/edit default service assignments:

1.       Access the Trial Services page. (See View Services for guidance.)

2.      Click the Default Assignment button.

The Default Assignment page displays the default service assignment of each organization. Each default service is indicated by a check mark below the corresponding column. These services include the following:

·       VTS (Validation Task Service): Ensures that data entered on iCRFs will be validated against pre-defined criteria. For this task service, you will simply choose the trial(s) where it should run.

·       AutoTranslation: Allows you to provide default Google translations for text added for auto translation. (This service only translates keys which are not locked or verified with empty translated text strings.)

·       Casebook: Specifies the path where the Casebook will be generated per service instance.

·       Export: Allows user-requested exports of trial data to run. When creating an export service, you must define the specific export template(s) to be used in the trial(s) where the task service runs, the target locations to save the export files, and the windows of time when the service will run.

·       Import: Processes import requests by priority in the following order: import, import test, lab import, and lab import test.

·       Notification: Specifies the queue name of the “Fast” Notification server, which processes most messages sent and received in TrialMaster.

·       Web Service:  Allows you to set up a web notification service that is sent by a Web Service URL.  In TrialBuilder, you must set a Change Notification edit to send a web notification instead of an email notification. Once this new service is set up, the applicable TrialMaster users can access the “Web Notification Status Report,” which shows the history and status of web notifications sent.

·       Report: Allows you to run the item audit report. This report can only run as a background service.

3.       Select/de-select the check box(es) of the applicable services.

4.      Click the Close button at the bottom right of the page.
